Hello, I'm Tanvi Ramchandra Maideo, a Final year BDS student from Sinhgad Dental College and Hospital. Beyond academics, I'm passionate about research, poster presentations, dental conferences. I am a Kathak dancer and I love being on stage, whether as a presenter, dancer, speaker or an eager learner in the audience. Like most students, dentistry wasn't my first calling, however, over the past four years dentistry has evolved from a course into a passion inspiring me to become a skilled clinician and a future academician. I believe in balancing profession and passion with equal dedication.

As a final year BDS student, I'm committed not only to acquiring knowledge and skills required to relieve pain but also to being compassionate and empathetic-not just treating a patient, but healing a human being. Apart from academics, my training in Kathak has taught me to be disciplined, confident, and an effective communicator. I have won 2nd prize in dance at World Dental Conference, Mumbai (2024) 1st prize in IDA Conference dance category, Pune in (2025) and 2nd prize in dance at IDA Conference, Pune in (2026). I believe a strong personality is built by character, confidence, discipline and kindness and these are the values I hope to bring to this platform and learn and grow from this great opportunity.
Oral health message
My oral health message is simple: do not ignore the red flag signs of oral diseases and delay the treatment. Don't wait to visit a dentist until you are in pain. If you notice any decay, redness, swelling, sensitivity seek professional care at the earliest. Not only that, a 6 month routine checkup, scaling, brushing twice, using dental floss, having a proper diet are simple things that can save you from a filling, root canal and worst, an extraction. As the saying goes, "A stitch in time saves nine." Your oral health is as essential as your overall health, so take care of where it all begins-your mouth!
